THE SNOW GOOSE
In the winter of 2024, John joined the workshop cast of The Snow Goose, a new musical in developmental for Goodspeed Musicals. The cast and team returned in the beginning of 2025 to continue work on the project.
BROADWAY DREAMS GALA
John had the honor of working on the Broadway Dreams Annual Gala in the winter of 2023, celebrating producer Robert Greenblatt. He performed in the gala, as well assistant music directed for Stephen Oremus on the project.
MUCH ADO: A NEW MUSICAL
In the Spring of 2024, John made his NYC directorial debut in a workshop reading of Benjamin Diskant’s new TYA Musical: Much Ado. Based off the classic Shakespeare text, infused with a lush pop score, this musical expands the story in the setting of a modern day high school.
MUSIC THEATRE WICHITA
John had the opportunity to join the MTW Family in their 2022 season as part of their resident ensemble. He appeared in 42nd Street, Kinky Boots, The Wizard of Oz, and The Drowsy Chaperone. He returned in the Winter of 2022 for their Live Holiday Special.
THE SEPTEMBER PROJECT
In October of 2023, John began writing and developing his first full length play entitled: The September Project. A nonstop, comedic, full length one-act, this piece explores the making of a haunted house in remote Florida. The piece had it’s first and second readings in NYC in the Winter and Spring of 2024.
A GIRL AND A BOY DANCE
In the summer of 2021, John had the opportunity to work on his first new work by Marshall Pailet: A Girl and a Boy Dance. Part of the Broadway Dreams Foundation’s new works program, the first act of the musical received a staged workshop. John played Adult Mikey and a Featured Storyteller.
PRIVATE JONES
John spent two weeks with Goodspeed Musicals and Signature Theatre (DC), developing Marshall Pailet’s new musical Private Jones in New York City.
MSC DUELING PIANOS
In the Spring of 2023, John joined MSC Cruise Lines and RWS Global for three weeks in a special guest appearance aboard the MSC Seashore to star in their dueling pianos show. Touring the Mediterranean, John performed for thousands of guests on the high seas with dueling pianos partner Emily Goulazian.
BORDEN: A NEW MUSICAL
In the summer of 2024, John was approached by bookwriter and creator Cavan Hendron to begin work on their new musical: Borden. John has signed on as the composer/lyricist for the project and is in early stage development. The piece had an industry reading featuring the first drafts of his music in August 2024. The score will be having a concert presentation at the Borden House in Fall River, MA this summer.
SISMAS at JOES PUB
John made his Joe’s Pub debut as music director for Sis Thee Doll’s third annual production of Sismas. A holiday themed cabaret centered around actress and activist Sis Thee Doll, John led an all star cast and band through an evening of holiday cheer. Read the PLAYBILL ARTICLE for more.
